Michael was elected President of the United Synagogue in July 2017 and re-elected in 2021.

Michael is proud to be a product of the United Synagogue. His formative years were spent attending both Ilford Synagogue and Ilford Jewish Primary School.

He has served on the Board of Management at Chigwell & Hainault United Synagogue and after moving to Mill Hill was Vice Chair and Chair of Mill Hill United Synagogue for seven years.

He is married to Lara and they have four daughters.

Professionally, Michael is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in commerce. Having spent twenty five years as a partner in two firms of accountants, he has recently been the CEO of a large property group and lead the creation of a new bank.
