For eight days (seven in Israel) we avoid eating chametz, leavened bread, instead eating only matza which marks both the bread of affliction which our ancestors ate when slaves to Pharoah in Egypt and the bread which didn’t have time to rise as we left in a hurry during the exodus from Egypt. Seder night is the most celebrated Jewish ritual with its special foods, songs and four cups of wine. Check out the articles below which explore this special festival.
