Hatfield COP celebrated their 2025 Shabbaton last week. Friday night saw 70 wonderful people coming together for a sing-along family Kabbalat Shabbat, followed by a delicious dinner with bartenders and an excellent children’s programme.
We ended the night with a hilarious game of Hatfield Family Fortunes, where the community had to split into groups and beat the survey! Shabbat morning included breakfast, a special Tu B’Shevat children’s service and a wonderful kiddush, during which our fabulous volunteers helped to transform the shul back into a wonderful space, fit to welcome another 70.
Good conversation, tasty lunch and an afternoon of programming, conversations and space to hang out enabled a wonderful Shabbat day. The Shabbaton ended with a Seuda spread and a magical musical Havdallah – the perfect way to end the first Shabbaton with the Herszafts!
