Aryeh Goldberg is a member of Enfield & Winchmore Hill United Synagogue, and is their Honorary Chazan and board member, currently covering all the Shabbat and Chagim services.
Aryeh has an urgent request as he only has one kidney, and it is failing. He desperately needs a kidney transplant to survive. The waitlist for a deceased donor kidney can be long, so he is reaching out to the community in the hopes of finding a living donor.
You only need one kidney to live a healthy, long life, as the remaining kidney takes over the function of both. The surgery is minimally invasive, and most donors recover quickly.
