Wembley recently enjoyed an extraordinary and unique Shabbat.
Mazal Tov to the Barmitzvah boys – wait! Correction, barmitzvah men:
Joe Alis, a second Barmitzvah
Hillier Wise, a third Barmitzvah
Philip Hyman, on the anniversary of his Barmitzvah
Wonderful gentlemen, loyal and much valued members of the Shul with years of service to their credit.
In replying to the toasts made in their honour, Joe expressed his delight at being able to share this day with his wife, Ziva, and the Wembley Family.
Hillier spoke of his Barmitzvah which took place in 1942, not long after the Blitz and his joy that today he could treasure memories created by a truly amazing community.
