Since it began last Autumn, Barnet Shul’s Young Adults Events Committee has been working hard to create engaging social opportunities for members of the community aged 21–39. Their latest event, a Pan-Asian themed Friday night dinner, took place at the home of Rabbi Moshe Chaim and Rebbetzen Miri Lister.
Guests enjoyed a delicious spread featuring everything from curry and noodles to sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls, ensuring there was something for every palate. The evening began with candle lighting and the singing of Shalom Aleichem, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a real sense of connection.
With a mix of new and familiar faces, the dinner was filled with great food, lively conversation and plenty of laughter, as reflected by the buzz of the room throughout the evening.
A huge thank you goes to Rabbi and Rebbetzen Lister for so generously opening their home and helping to make the evening such a success.
The Young Adults Events Committee is already planning its next activities and hopes to welcome even more members of the community to future events.
