The United Synagogue’s Community Development Team (CDT) ran the inaugural Chairs’ Forum (ex-President’s Forum), where they discussed succession and the traits and skills needed by Chairs.
The aims of the evening were to continue creating spaces for Chairs to share ideas and challenges, and also to hear from Chairs the specific experiences of their introduction to and preparation for senior local leadership.
The CDT hope to run a leadership course for potential Community Chairs later this year, as the best information on what to do, what to avoid, and what to aim for, is held by those volunteer colleagues doing this amazing work right now.
