Recycle your lulav and etrog!

US Chesed, home of our Dorot sustainability programme, are collecting your used arba minim to reuse in incredible ways. Your hadas (myrtle) and etrog (citron) will be repurposed by youth groups to create besamim bundles (spices) for havdallah, transforming one mitzvah into another. The lulav (palm branch) and arava (willow) will be composted and used as fertiliser across the US cemeteries.

You can donate your arba minim after Succot at the following United Synagogue communities: Ahavat Yisrael, Barnet, Belmont, Borehamwood & Elstree, Edgware, Golders Green, Hampstead Garden Suburb, Hendon, Highgate, Mill Hill East, Pinner, Radlett and Welwyn Garden City. We will also have a purple collection bin at Kosher Kingdom.
