Simon is Vice President of the United Synagogue. He was elected as a Trustee in 2023.

He is the past Chair of Borehamwood and Elstree United Synagogue and is the Worldwide Head of Business Operations at Amazon Web Services.

He is married to Deborah and they have a teenage daughter.
