As October 7 coincides this year with the first day of Sukkot, Israel Engagement Hub, in collaboration with StandWithUs UK, is hosting two guest speakers at Mill Hill United Synagogue on 8 October to reflect on resilience and unity.
Shir Zohar, survivor of the Nova Festival massacre, and Fuad Ahmad, an Arab-Israeli activist, will share their personal stories and messages of hope.
Artist Beverly Crown, who was in Israel on October 7, has created a moving sukkah installation of 500 lemons hanging above a yellow-painted floor, symbolising the hostages and the mix of grief and strength.
Under Rabbi Yitzchak Schochet’s leadership, Mill Hill continues to stand with Israel, finding light even in the darkest times.
