Mrs Lorna Goodkin, at the young age of 97, is making Aliyah.

Lorna and her late husband, David, have long been valued members of our Shul. Her late parents, Rabbi and Rebbetzen Rabinowitz, served as our Rabbinic couple before their passing many years ago.

Lorna is moving to Jerusalem to live with her daughter, Roxanne, and her family. She has always been a very active member of our Shul and was so often the first woman to arrive on a Shabbat morning.

A farewell tea was put on by the Shul in recognition of Lorna’s past work in our Shul and the wider community.  More than 100 people came to say farewell to this lovely lady.

Her son, Julian, will be travelling with her, and we wish her a safe journey, good health, and much happiness in this exciting new chapter.
