Potters Bar & Brookmans Park Synagogue awarded grant for Eco Garden

Potters Bar & Brookmans Park United Synagogue have been awarded a grant by the National Garden Scheme (NGS) for their Eco Garden. Their garden is amongst 118 community garden projects being funded across England, Wales and Northern Ireland by the NGS, with the funding being supported by the Julia Rausing Trust.

The grant will fund hardy plants for pollinators in the long flower bed, additional pots and pollinator-friendly plants, wildlife-friendly herbs and containers, the creation of a native (English) Bluebell wood, clearing the pond and planting extra pond-edge plants, peat-free compost, additional and replacement items to help birds, hedgehogs and insects, and a nature camera and garden maintenance equipment.

Upon awarding Potters Bar & Brookmans Park Synagogue the grant, the Chief Executive of NGS said: “Many congratulations on your success from a large group of high-quality applications.”
