Once again, Wembley was granted the privilege of celebrating another Second Barmitzvah. This time it was Sidney Grant.

After listening to Sidney’s accomplished reading of his Sedra and enjoying the service led by Michael Fluss, Sidney and his wife, Esther, generously hosted a delicious lunch to which the entire kehila was invited.

Sidney’s brother, Leslie, led the tributes recounting stories of their lives, particularly during the war years when their Father, Reverend Goldstein, led some of the smaller US Jewish communities in the Buckinghamshire area.

Loving messages were conveyed from Sidney’s two daughters in Israel and his two sisters, which were of course echoed by Esther and the entire community in which both Sidney and Esther play an important part.
L’chayim Sidney.
