On Sunday 21st July, Rabbi and Rebbetzen Hambling hosted a BBQ at their home to thank all those who support the daily Minyanim at Birmingham Central, together with their families.
The Minyan at Birmingham Central is not only a key feature of the local Jewish infrastructure: It often hosts visitors from out of town, as the nearest Jewish community with thrice-daily Minyanim is close to 80 miles away! As such, the community takes great pride in maintaining daily services, which continue to be maintained through the ongoing dedication of our “Minyan Men”.
Speaking at the event, Rabbi Hambling noted that communal activities such as coming together to Daven and learn are key to maintaining a full Jewish identity. Consequently, supporting the Minyan not only supports the Shul (and the wider Jewish community) but also our own spiritual development.
Much delicious food was consumed by all, and the BBQ was followed by Mincha and Maariv back at Central Shul.
