Dr Frada Wilenski BEM steps down from her role as Chair

Following the AGM of the United Synagogue Sheffield, Dr Frada Wilenski BEM stepped down from her role after serving more than ten years as Chair. A new chairman, Dr Alan Anderson, was elected.

Frada has been a very active chairperson as well as looking after the catering facilities for the monthly mevachim kiddushes and other lunches for societies and private events. The kitchens at the Kingfield Hall have already been named in her honour.

As Frada approaches her 90th birthday the Sheffield community is indebted to her for all the work she has done over the years.

Her amazing work and uplifting spirit for all the years has been unbelievable and the community is very fortunate in that Dr Alan Anderson will take on the responsibilities. A really hard act to follow.

Frada has been inundated with messages of thanks and appreciation from all members of the community and a special presentation was made to her at the AGM by Lynn Wilfin the administrator for the United Synagogue Sheffield.
