Belmont’s B’Yachad’s pickling evening was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. The event was run by Debra Brunner who spoke of her connection to the Jewish communities of Belarus and their connection to the centuries-old “art” of pickling.
Before the actual demonstration, she gave us an insight into the work undertaken by her charity “The Together Plan” in Belarus. The highlight of the evening was the actual cucumber pickling!
Each person attending was able to take home a Kilner jar packed full of pickled cucumbers and spices, and we look forward to hearing how tasty they were! Many thanks to all the organisers, especially Jacqui Segal who masterminded the event!
