We are proud to have recently partnered with Jami, together with Welwyn Garden City Shul, as pilot Shuls running its new Suicide Prevention Training for Communities.
This vitally important training is interactive and is presented by Jami’s experienced educators in an extremely caring, sensitive, supportive and informative way.
The training taught us awareness – noticing when a member of the community might be struggling and in need of our support; it gave us confidence to really listen, have empathy and to use the right language to offer that support and it showed us where to find the necessary professional help.
We feel that this training is something all Shuls should consider offering to their Care and Safeguarding personnel or indeed to all their members.
