The inaugural Bushey Shul Business Networking meeting launched last week, attracting more than 50 attendees.
As part of a three-pronged initiative, the meeting was the first of a series of business networking events where members could get together to share services and business support for each other within the Bushey community.
Following an introduction by Bushey’s Rabbi Feldman, the evening provided an opportunity for everyone to briefly describe their business to the group, explain their role and offer their services. Then, two selected participants enjoyed a 5 minute slot to give a deeper understanding of their businesses and what they do.
It’s the intention of the organizing committee to invite a guest speaker each time and last night the group was addressed by Adam Kay, Managing Director of Direct To Consumer for Europe, Middle East and Africa for Ralph Lauren. Adam gave a fascinating history of Ralph Lauren, the man and the business, and his role and career path in the global company.
There were various networking sessions during the evening where members interacted and shared contacts, but the group were also encouraged to consider others outside the group who could benefit from services on offer last night.
Committee member Jon Beach said: “In these unusual economic times, this is a fantastic project for the benefit of Bushey community members. We are thrilled at the interest and support for this event and look forward to continuing the series throughout 2024 and into 2025.”
