The European Cantors Association is profiling beautiful synagogue music over the coming weeks, seeking out and highlighting the most effective melodies, old and new, that move our congregations today.

These will include:

  1. 27 January 9.30am Central Synagogue: Cantor Steven Leas and choir conducted by Harry Style: special choral service to honour the women in our synagogue
  2. 24 February 9.30am Richmond Synagogue: Visiting chazan/singer Rabbi Samuel de beck Spitzer, plus a youth and an adult choral contribution
  3. 25 February (Sunday) 7.00pm St John’s Wood Synagogue: Concert featuring Cantors Netanel Herstik, Simon Cohen, Avraham Kirshenbaum with the Neimah Singers conducted by Marc Temerlies accompanied by Raymond Goldstein (Jerusalem). Click here to book
  4. 2 March (time TBC): South Hampstead Synagogue Choral Service (details to follow)
  5. 2 March 9.30am Kenton Synagogue: Cantor/Rabbi Geoffrey Shisler and Robert Brody will officiate with choir in many familiar tunes
  6. 16 March 9.15am Central Synagogue: Special choral service, Cantor Steven Leas and choir conducted by Harry Style
  7. 30 March 9.30am New West End Synagogue: Cantor Marc Jacobs and choir conducted by Michael Etherton
  8. 6 April 9.00am Mill Hill Synagogue: Cantor Adrian Alexander and Mill Hill Synagogue Choir conducted by Eliot Alderman
